4 Ways to Rank Better in Alexa

Improve your Alexa Ranking
I know that Alexa rankings are as valuable as, well a third grader’s personal opinion of traffic, and there are many bloggers that are concerned with them because they raise their value in advertising companies like PayPerPost, Text Link Ads and ReviewMe, which I don’t agree with (without being totally transparent about the posts being paid for).

However, it is something that people are concerned about, not just for monetizing their blogs.

There are a couple of things that you can do to increase your rankings:

1. Install the Alexa toolbar and visit your website or blog.

You will find the Alexa Toolbar download here.

2. Place an Alexa widget on your website or blog.

You will find the Alexa widgets here.

3. Update your site information on Alexa.

To do this go to: http://www.alexa.com/data/details/contact_info?url=http://www.yoururl.com, update or add your information and click continue, then you will have the opportunity to download a text file (info.txt) to your domain. When you have verified it using the fetch link, you are set.

4. Write something important, relevant and unique. If you do you can get inbound links and visitors.

I know, it’s a basic concept, but if you are providing something worth reading or referring to, you stand a better chance to get more traffic and links. When you get more traffic, you stand a better chance to increase your revenue.
