Add Gadgets to Your Website or Make Your Own

Now you can add gadgets to your website, for free. Now you don’t have to keep them to yourself on your personalized Google homepage, you can share them by putting them on your website.

They’ve been around for a while, but their reach got a lot broader last week when we made it possible for anyone to add gadgets to their own webpages. Here’s an example of a flight status tracker, for instance, that can be placed on any page on the web for free.

Find gadgets here.

Or create your own here.

Another great item is the “add to Google” button for all of your feeds. Which will create a button like this:
Add to Google
so visitors to your site or blog can instantly added to their Google Reader or Personalized Home Page.

I never thought you can do that. This is the first time I heard of adding gadgets to the website. I will definitely check it out and try it out with my site. So thanks for putting it out there.

I am a big fan of the Add This widget. I think it has a lot more reach compared to say Share This or the add to Google gadget.
