Full ack to your opinion. Firefox is best in performance, thats the thing users wants. 3D is a nice to have feature.

@Bradley Moore - Thanks for the comment.

I would agree that Pogo (or whatever name AT&T decides to use) will have a tough battle with IE and FF, but a graphic user interface (GUI) that is pleasing to the eye can be a very valuable selling point to end users. I will also agree that performance and compatibility are what turns a first time user into a long time user. Starting with an appealing interface attracts them, and the functionality and performance is what keeps them coming back.

Hopefully AT&T will make it perform as well as it looks!

I do not think a shiny 3D web browser is the way to go in the browser world. If you want to compete with Internet Explorer and Firefox or the likes, you would want to focus on performance and compatibility, lets hope AT&T know what they're getting into.

@Predict Page Rank: Thanks for the comment.

It isn't available in wide-release, yet. I think that they will need to do some real push to get this off the ground and downloaded by the masses. AT&T have the ability to leverage their many brands to help, but I guess we will see how it pans out!

It looks good, I am sure many will download it but their marketing has not been up to the mark. Like no one really knew that its gonna be released, no one as in many of the other blogs and websites. But in the case of Firefox there was this big marketing hype created before they actually released the software.

@the web hosting journey blog: This is a nice browser from what I've seen, but I think that any browser coming out will have to offer more than just a browser function that "looks cool."

FireFox has made a great run against IE, but I think it is because of the plugin capabilities more than the browser function.

Thanks for the comment!

It looks gorgeous, but I often find that the fancier a browser looks, the worse it performs...
hmm..

I guess I'll check it out anyways!

Thanks!
