Blogger has announced two new elements available for users on their blogs:
To add to their list of elements that are available in the latest Blogger Templates:
Similar to Google Alerts, the Newsreel allows you to choose the keywords that you would like to publish for and pulls from Google News (of course) to be published on your blog.
The Video Bar does the same thing, except it searches Google Video and YouTube (of course) to publish a stack of videos for your readers.
I think that Google is on the right track to keeping their users on the Blogger platform and get the versatility of other platforms like WordPress.
Has anyone tried these new widgets? What do you think, does this further dilute the value of blogs on blogging platforms like Blogger and WordPress hosted blogs?

Blogger has changed since 2007 although changes are not so minor. Keep us posted…
Even though blogger has been improving with widgets, better themes, and is favored by Google. I still don’t like it as it seems a little “unprofessional”, because I see someone that is using a free hosting provider as someone cheap even though the owner might put cost’s into advertising, etc.
