commenting policy

First, the views expressed on this website are the opinion of Stephen Pitts, however, the comments may not be.

I do not believe that I have ever (or will) publish views that offend people, however, I do have strong opinions on a large number of topics related to and revolving around the SEO community. I value the opinions and insight of others, so please feel free to comment on all of the posts that you have an opinion about.

I would like everyone to be able to join discussions on SEOpittfall.com, however, not everyone has the best intentions when leaving comments. Those people are also the ones who will not read this. They are spammers.

I appreciate feedback and really enjoy it when readers respond and incite a useful discussion on a topic that I wrote about. I do not write because I am paid to or to tell others that I know more or better than them, rather, to build and develop new ideas and to discuss the theories and ideas that I have. I do not think that I am always right, and when I am wrong or can find out new things from others I appreciate it.

What I do not appreciate are those that are trying to get undeserved links to their spam site or blog.

I will remove these comments and every comment at my discretion.

I would also like to note: I feel that valuable comments are welcome and I do not use the “no follow” attribute for comments on SEOpittfall.

Please Note:
I find it a rather unfortunate thing when people go as far as to write a valid comment and still fail to leave a correct email address for response. These users apparently don’t want to open a forum on the particular topic… this too is unfortunate! I love to discuss topics and really enjoy a debate on occasion, that is why I open comments to everyone.

I make every effort to respond to each and every comment. Even those that fail to leave an accurate email address, I would like to welcome you back and also to give you the opportunity to respond to my comment regarding your comment. Oh! I am not perfect! I do not claim to be the ultimate authority on anything other than Stephen Pitts. I am not above retracting any of my opinions when confronted about inaccuracies. If you notice something that is stated that is beyond the scope of accuracy (or reality), I invite you to call me out on it!

I have added the NoFollow Plugin offered by WebGuerrilla to offer Follow and NoFollow to each and every comment and trackback. This will be used to help monitor valuable comments on SEOpittfall.com.

UPDATE 01/07/2008
With the recent update to the theme of SEOpittfall.com, I have added a math protection to the comment form to help aid me in keeping out SPAM!
