Launch of Google Checkout

Google offers additional resources for users, Google Checkout. This is a step from Google that appears to offer distinct advantages over the market leader PayPal. Some of the specifics include the ability for AdWords advertisers the use of an image badge added to their individual ads in Google search results, a discount for processing for advertisers and a simple 2% (currently) processing fee for users. These really sets Google Checkout from E-Bay’s PayPal.

I am sure that more will be possible from Google, they have a track record for improvements to products they offer. Unfortunately, PayPal hasn’t had this same track record. Ultimately, I think that this brings the merchant’s concerns for what they require and what they ultimately need in a third-party solution. The market will improve with competition.
