Interesting article but unfortunately getlisted.org requires a 5 digit US zip code which means that it does not work for companies outside the US.

Great post! Getlisted.org is a great tool for any business out there. They will surely get benefit from this one. Moreover, business owners don’t need to invest too much time checking their stats with the use of search engines.

Local listing makes sense. Consumers tend to locate business and deal with such with proximity as consideration. Hope search engines will focus more on this area of concern.

I checked out getlisted.org when it was launched recently and I think it's a good starting point to see where a business currently stands in the local realm of things. The interface is very intuitive and everything loads very fast, so I would definitely recommend it when beginning your local search efforts. I saw this post after I commented on another one. This one caught my eye because this is how we get a lot of our business. We do a lot of business around a major metropolitan area and a lot of people search for things and include atlanta or ga in their search. So, we devise our content to target those searches and don’t even worry about our local listings. It’s got to be hard for a local retail shop with a very local customer base though. That’s funny, Google doesn’t even monitor their listings.

Thanks for the comment, I have forwarded the idea over to the creators of GetListed.org and they are/have been looking into solutions for more than just the US. Keep your eyes peeled… but be sure that I will keep you updated as new additions come to this new service.

I can’t say that I got accurate results with getlisted.org. I’m still doing some working on it but it says I’m not listed though I’m clearly at the top. Interesting.

getlisted.org is simply amazing. Local seo is difficult thing and I say getlisted.org is a real big help.
