Update #2 – Click-to-Call Cancelled

by pittfall on October 7, 2006

The original blog post has been removed from both the Official Google Blog and the Google Reader feed subscriptions.

Because of this, it is safe to assume that this was not intended for release. But, two questions still remain:
1. Will Google’s Click-to-Call Program be dropped?
2. Who is Maximal (the author)?

Attention: Conspiracy Theory:
Could this be a response to the recent Google Security post?

“Behind the scenes of these efforts is the Google Security Team. We keep the bad guys out of our systems…”

“We’ve learned that when security is done right, it’s done as a community, and this includes everybody: the people who use Google services (thank you all!), the software developers who make our applications, and the external security enthusiasts who keep us on our toes. These combined efforts go a long way toward making the Internet safer and more secure.”
