The yellowbot is great local SE concept which have right and sharp purpose to connect online and offline side of business. I see Errons has strong vision of it and will be lead in that such industry.You can find informations about local business profiles easily… that’s great!!

Yellowbot is a very good local search engine with one of the better databases and search algo’s out there. I dont think that Errons vision for creating a social layer has panned out though when I look at his metrics. I dont see the repeat visitor traction o buzz one might expect.
We will be trying to see if we can do something more interesting and catchy with click2connect.com in a social sense.
I think though that this field is still wide open with a great deal of promise in the future.

I really like the yellowbot concept, and think local search is becoming increasingly important. Is be interested to know how things are coming along a year after your article.

Hi Stephen Interesting to hear about YellowBot, and the whole subject of local social search and consumer reviews is really getting huge. May I also draw your attention the The Brownbook which tries to go further still, it's an 'open' yellow pages which we've just put live beta. Its open in the sense that anyone can not only add reviews but also add businesses, update businesses, etc. We set out from the start to totally take the reins off.
